Portrait by Jenna Rubinstien
Drawing from sculpture, performance, and tactile materials such as fabric, clay, and found objects, Paice explores the physicality of the body and the emotional resonance of texture. Her work invites sensory engagement, blurring the lines between viewer and artwork, and opening up dialogue through the language of touch and form..
In her recent work, Residual Gestures, she examines the tension between handmade artistry and industrial production. The multimedia collage of projected imagery onto fabric highlights art-making as a fluid process, embracing movement and transformation. By layering image, touch, and material, she challenges conventional ideas of completeness, inviting viewers to reflect on the emotional and physical residue left behind in acts of making.
